Another Very Successful Season For
Tamarack Outfitters in 2005
2005 marked another awesome season for
Tamarack Outfitters.
Early season muzzleloader season brought 4 hunters to camp. The weather was
warm as expected but we did not fight the high winds as we did the
year before. We killed 1 buck out of 3 hunters, however, 2 out of
the other 3 hunters missed 170+ inch plus bucks inside 100 yards.
The buck that we killed was a 6x6 that grossed 190 2/8 inches.
It was another awesome archery season for Tamarack outfitters. We
took 17 bucks over 24 hunts and the hunters that did not take bucks
either missed or passed on many 140 to 160 inch deer waiting on that
monster they just couldn't get to come quite close enough. Weather
conditions this year were excellent. Once again, we really
appreciate our hunters that don't always go home with a buck because
they are waiting on a mature animal. The fact that our hunters do no
shot young deer, give all of our return hunters a chance to some day
harvest a mature buck of a lifetime.
We had 4 rifle hunters this year and 2 out of the 4 hunters killed
their bucks. We also had one miss on a monster. One of the bucks was
a beautiful mature 4x4 than grossed 156 inches and the other was a
huge 5x5 that had lots of extra stickers and still grossed 190 6/8
inches, not counting an estimated 15 inches broken off. Although one
of the hunters did not take a buck, he was on big deer the entire
hunt and was patiently waiting for that huge buck to make one
mistake. Although he passed on several beautiful mature bucks
scoring less than 165 inches, he hunted hard and had a great hunt.
We look forward to the upcoming 2006 season. At the present time we
are booked with repeat clients. If you wish to be put on a waiting
